Pass the FCLE at UWF.
You cannot graduate from the University of West Florida without demonstrating civic literacy. Find out where you stand before it becomes a problem at graduation.
This one applies to you
the University of West Florida is part of the State University System. Florida requires every student who first enrolled at a public college or university in 2018-19 or later to demonstrate civic literacy before they graduate. Passing the Florida Civic Literacy Exam is one of the ways to do it.
The passing score is 60 percent, set by State Board of Education Rule 6A-10.02413. It is the same number at UWF as it is everywhere else in Florida. The exam is 80 questions in 160 minutes.
Most students find out about this late. Some assume a high school civics class covered it. Others reach the graduation check and learn they have one more thing to do. Neither is a good time to start.
Know where you stand in twenty minutes
The free practice test is 40 questions drawn evenly across the four competencies the FCLE tests, because on the real exam each of the four is worth exactly a quarter of your score. You get your result, the competency costing you the most points, and a written explanation for every question.
